Praveen Kumar Regmi-Program Director 

Mr. Praveen Kumar Regmi, currently holding the position of Program Director at NFYN, brings a strong academic background and extensive professional experience to his role. With a Master's Degree in Science in Environment Management from the Institute of Science and Technology, SchEMS College, Kathmandu, and a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Tribhuvan University, Mr. Regmi provides a solid foundation for his leadership position.

Having served as an Assistant Lecturer at Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus, Ghantaghar, Kathmandu, within the Department of Environment Science, Tribhuvan University, and as a Faculty Member in the Department of Public Health at both Karnali College of Health Sciences and Valley College of Technical Sciences, Mr. Regmi has demonstrated versatility and expertise.

Mr. Regmi's commitment to social responsibility is evident through his previous role as Program Coordinator at United Youth for World Peace from November 2013 to September 2015. His engagement included active support for earthquake-affected communities in Dolakha and Gorkha districts as a Youth representative under the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Combining academic achievements with diverse experiences, Mr. Regmi serves as an effective and capable Program Director, steering NFYN's program development towards excellence and sustainability.

Kishor Rijal-Program Quality Manager 

Kishor Rijal serves as the Program Quality Manager at the National Federation of Youth NGOs Nepal (NFYN), embodying a wealth of experience and commitment in the field of social development. Recognized as the Best Employee of NFYN in 2017, Kishor has led and managed projects funded by esteemed organizations such as Kadoorie Charitable Foundation Hong Kong, IMPACT UK, CBM, NFU & Atlas Alliance Norway, USAID/WWF Nepal, WHO/WHE Nepal, and Islamic Relief Worldwide.

His career highlights include spearheading the formulation of the new National Youth Policy, reflecting a dedication to progressive policies that positively impact Nepal's youth demographic. Kishor brings a comprehensive skill set, marked by proficiency in project management, organizational development, and strategic planning.

In recent roles, Kishor served as the National Coordinator for the "YES, WE CAN" project, focusing on a disability-inclusive COVID-19 response. Prior to that, he held the position of Program, Partnership, and Communication Manager at the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities, Kathmandu (CIL-Kathmandu).

Holder of a Master’s in Social Work from Indira Gandhi National Open University and a Bachelors of Business Studies from Tribhuvan University, majoring in Rural Development and Cooperative Development, Kishor's expertise extends beyond academics. Proficient in computing tools such as MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, he is fluent in Nepali and English, with a good understanding of Hindi and beginner proficiency in Limbu.

Kishor Rijal's commitment and experience make him an invaluable asset to NFYN, contributing significantly to the organization's mission and objectives in advancing social development in Nepal.

Kshitij Sharma- Program Coordinator 

Kshitij Sharma is currently involved as the Program Coordinator (PC) in the National Federation of Youth NGOs (NYFN) Nepal. He is an environmental graduate and currently pursuing his Master's in Environmental Health and Disaster. He is a highly motivated youth with an interest in Disaster Risk Management (DRM), Environment, Public Health, and Geographical Information Systems. He has good experience and knowledge in projects and research related to DRM, Environment, Public Health, and Policy.. His pivotal role as PC at organization encompasses developing intervention plans, stakeholder collaboration, developing project execution plan, and ensuring well documentation of the project. His noteworthy contributions at organization include developing the much needed documents Disaster Management Volunteer Action Plan and Rescue equipment guide book; organizing training programs, developing the community awareness tools, website management, and guiding his team for the effective execuation of the project activities.

 

Rashmi Sedain-Project Coordinator

Rashmi Sedain is a dedicated Public Health professional with over 5 years of impactful experience in Nepal's public health sector, including pivotal roles in USAID-funded projects. Currently a Project Coordinator at NFYN for the 'Partnership for Healthy Cities' initiative, Rashmi skillfully coordinates diverse stakeholders to drive initiatives aimed at elevating air quality and public health outcomes. Holding a Bachelor's degree in Public Health and a Masters in Social Science, her multidisciplinary background enriches her holistic approach. Rashmi's fervent interest in data-driven public outreach and education underscores her commitment to fostering informed, positive change within communities, making her an inspirational advocate for healthier urban futures.

Laxmi Poudel - Accountant

Laxmi Poudel has been working and managing Finance and Administration in NFYN and has more than 3 years expereiecne in related feild. Apart from this she has well experience in the program and has worked as the Sr. Program Assistant and Financer Officer in REST Nepal. She is proficient in her related fieild having the Bachelors in Business Studies and is currently a Masters level student of the Business studies. She is verstile in addressing various organizational needs, including Diplomatic and professional when communicating with stellar time management and multitasking expertise.

 

Chandani Jha- Program Officer

Chandani Jha is a Public Health graduate who is currently pursuing law at Nepal Law Campus.  She is a highly motivated, enthusiastic Public Health Professional who has acquired practical, field-based knowledge and experiences in public health initiatives and research. She has prior experience working with young and adolescents, as well as facilitating capacity-building training on health promotion. She had previous knowledge of reporting and documenting community scorecard outcomes, vulnerability risk assessment, and health system resilience. She is currently involved as Program Officer(PO) in NFYN, where she undertake a diverse range of critical roles to drive NFYN initiatives forward. Her responsibilities encompass reporting of events and ensuring every detail is accurately documented. As a PO at the organization she has played a vital role in developing Volunteer Action Plan, a much needed action plan for the disaster managenment volunteer, furthermore she has supported in developing the impactful toos for community awarness related to DRR and MHPSS. Lastly, she manages organization's social media, harnessing its potential to engage broader audiences and foster a vibrant online community. 

Nisha Sunar, office secratary

Ms. Nisha Sunar serves as the Office Secretary at NFYN, where she plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the office. In this capacity, she provides vital support to the program and management teams. With a profound understanding of management skills, Ms. Sunar acts as a bridge, effectively conveying messages between the staff and the board as required.

Her excellent communication skills contribute to the harmonious operation of NFYN, playing a key role in maintaining a healthy environment within the office. Hailing from Lumbini Province in Nepal, Ms. Sunar brings regional insight, further enhancing her ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Her dedicated role as the Office Secretary showcases her commitment to fostering a productive and collaborative atmosphere within NFYN.

As a member of the so-called Dalit community, Ms. Sunar actively focuses on and suggests to NFYN's board team and program management team to prioritize the development of holistic programs for this community. Her advocacy and guidance contribute to NFYN's commitment to inclusive and holistic development initiatives.
